Mercer's Best 20 list for Forbes magazine has provoked outrage by failing to include a single UK, French, Spanish or even American city. The survey considered quality of life as its determining factor, and emphasised urban transport as part of that criteria. Still, it seems a bit biased that so many German and Swiss cities made the grade.
Pressure is growing from property managers calling for the creation of a Register for all practising estate agents. The move comes as the sector tries to increase transparency and guarantee contracts to get sales moving again.
